April 23, 2026 – The Oneida County Board of Health (BOH) is accepting applications from interested Oneida County residents for one Registered Nurse vacancy. The BOH is appointed by the Oneida County Board of Supervisors and is the policy-making body for the Oneida County Health Department.
The BOH represents Oneida County residents regarding programs and county policy for the Health department related to the health of the community. This seven-member committee (four elected county supervisors and three citizens) primary role is to advocate for the health of Oneida County including vulnerable populations, makes policy decisions and plans for future needs.
The vacant seat is for a Registered Nurse specifically interested in serving their community. Membership on the BOH Committee requires attending a meeting in Rhinelander currently scheduled for 9:00am on the second Tuesday of each month. Commitment is at least (1) three year term. Members receive a meeting stipend and mileage reimbursement for travel to the meetings.

Applications are due back to the Department on or before 4:30pm on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The BOH will review all applications and a candidate will be selected to recommend to the County Board Chair for official appointment.
