Orientation Materials for Board of Health Members

The Board of Health for Oneida County Health Department governs the department, provides supervision to the Director, and assures the enforcement of state and local public health laws and regulations.  Subject to approval of the Oneida County Board of Supervisors, it may adopt rules necessary to protect and improve public health, determine service priorities and assign funding levels to those priorities, and enter into contracts for the provision of public health services.

Current and future Oneida County Board of Health members may find these resources helpful in learning and understanding their important role in the health of Oneida County.
