Adolescent Programming

The Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP) team strives to advance grass-roots, sexual violence prevention activities that meaningfully engage youth and the community.  Our goal is to prevent sexual violence in Oneida County by changing the conditions that support it and contribute to violence.  To do this we:

  • Convene a local Sexual Violence Prevention (SVP) team consisting of diverse and multidisciplinary partners meeting on a monthly basis
    • Meetings occur on the 2nd Friday of the month from 9 am – 10 am via zoom
  • Implement evidence based interventions to teach healthy, safe dating and intimate relationship skills to adolescents
    • Current programs include Coaching Boys into Men, Athletes as Leaders, and Safe Dates
  • Provide free education and resources to the community to create protective environments in Oneida County
